Amber Inclusions from Myanmar – Windows into an Ancient World

Remarks:
Extremely rare inclusion of an adult antlion, a predatory lacewing relative. Adult antlions lived among vegetation and hunted small flying insects, while their larvae are well known for digging pitfall traps. This fossil represents one of the few known adult antlions preserved in Burmese amber.
