Remarks:
This inclusion contains more than 100 non-biting midges (Chironomidae) together with additional insects. Chironomids are small nematocerous flies whose larvae are primarily aquatic or semi-aquatic, while adults often occur in large aggregations. Such mass occurrences are very rare in Myanmar Cretaceous amber and provide valuable information on the diversity and abundance of small flying insects within the ecosystem.
