Remarks:
This larva of †Hallucinochrysa, an extinct genus of lacewings (family Chrysopidae), is distinguished by bizarrely elongated and highly branched setae that are longer than the body itself. Using these structures, it carried a large package of plant debris or organic material on its back – a highly effective camouflage strategy against predators.
