Remarks:
†Aptenoperissus belongs to an unusual extinct wasp family known only from Cretaceous Kachin amber. Females were wingless and possessed powerful enlarged hind legs adapted for jumping, while males were winged. Their morphology suggests that females lived in concealed habitats on the forest floor or on tree trunks and were probably parasitoids of other insects.
